J’Adore These Outfits

I know this photo is over a year old, but I just found it today after watching the latest episode of Mad Men, and I think the clothes are fantastic:

Love the mix of modern urban and 60's secretary style in these outfits!

In case you don’t recognize her out of character, Alison Brie, second from the left, plays Trudy Campbell on AMC’s Mad Men. Trudy, Pete’s wife, is one of my favorite characters on the show. She’s 100% class, which means she acts with self-restraint and civility even in her darkest hours. I can’t say that I’d necessarily want to be her, because she’s obviously living in a pre-feminist era, but I think that out of all of the female characters on the show, I find her to be the most likable. She’s not as flawed as the other characters, perhaps because she’s lived a rather sheltered life, which makes her remind me of Charlotte York from Sex and the City, but the fact that the other characters are very flawed isn’t really what bothers me. What piques me is the fact that the flawed characters let their personal problems get to them and take out their anger and frustration on the people around them, some of whom who care for and support them.
